Cat

Claude Code
Claude Desktop
Co-work 文档、演示文稿、信息综合(连接Drive/Slack/Gmail)

Cat Wu

Anthropic(ChatGPT最强竞争对手)的Claude Code产品负责人Cat Wu的深度访谈。

Claude Code
Claude Desktop
• 写文件/做PPT → Co-work(连接Drive、Slack、Gmail)

70 minutes. One interview. Six ideas that changed how I think about work in the AI era. 🧠

Anthropic's Head of Product, Cat Wu, didn't talk about features or funding rounds.

She talked about judgment.

When anyone can write code, when AI can draft documents and summarize data and build decks —

The only thing that can't be replicated is the wisdom to decide what matters.

Here's what I wrote down:

① Weekly iterations beat long-term roadmaps
② "Product taste" is the new scarce skill
③ Mission clarity = your fastest decision tool
④ The right AI tool for the right workflow
⑤ Professionals are trusting AI with harder tasks now
⑥ Low ego + action-oriented = the ideal collaborator (human or AI)

The age of AI isn't coming for judgment. It's revealing who always had it.

📍 What's your unfair advantage in the AI era?

Title: I spent 70 minutes watching an interview with Anthropic's Head of Product. Here are 6 shifts that will reshape how every professional works.

Cat Wu runs product for Claude Code at Anthropic. What she said challenges assumptions I've held for years — even as a lawyer navigating AI adoption daily.

The biggest takeaway? The cost of writing code is collapsing. The value of deciding what to build is skyrocketing.

Here's what that means for product managers, lawyers, consultants — anyone who makes decisions for a living:

① Roadmaps are becoming obsolete.
Long-term rigid plans are being replaced by weekly iteration cycles. If your team is still planning in quarters, you're already behind.

② "Product taste" is the new scarce skill.
When anyone can execute, judgment becomes the moat. What do you build? For whom? Why now?

③ Engineering and product roles are merging.
Technical fluency is no longer a "nice to have." PMs who can build internal tools ship faster. The line between builder and strategist is disappearing.

④ Mission alignment beats individual KPIs.
Anthropic's teams sacrifice personal metrics for the company's unified goal: safe AGI for humanity. That kind of clarity is a decision-making superpower.

⑤ AI tools are specializing, not generalizing.
Claude Code → terminal tasks. Claude Desktop → front-end work. Co-work → documents, decks, synthesis. The right tool for the right workflow matters enormously.

⑥ Token usage per knowledge worker is rising.
As models improve, professionals are delegating more complex tasks to AI — not just simple ones. This isn't automation. It's collaboration at scale.

The professionals who thrive won't be those who resist AI. They'll be the ones who develop the judgment to direct it.

What's the highest-judgment decision in your work that AI still can't touch?

Post:

Spent 70 minutes this morning watching an interview with Cat Wu, Head of Product at Anthropic — the company behind Claude AI.

I expected it to be about tech. It turned out to be about something much more fundamental: what makes humans irreplaceable when AI can do almost anything.

Her answer? Judgment.

As coding costs collapse, the value of deciding what to build — and why — goes through the roof. She calls it "product taste." I'd call it wisdom.

A few things that stuck with me:

→ Anthropic's entire team operates under one mission: "Bring safe AGI to humanity." That single sentence resolves almost every conflict they face. No long debates. Just: does this serve the mission?

→ They've moved from quarterly roadmaps to weekly iteration cycles. In AI development, long-term plans become obsolete fast.

→ The Claude ecosystem isn't one-size-fits-all. There's a tool for coding, one for design, one for documents and synthesis. The right tool for the right workflow.

→ Token usage per knowledge worker is increasing — meaning people are trusting AI with harder tasks, not just simpler ones. This is AI as collaborator, not just assistant.

As a lawyer, I think about this constantly. My clients don't pay me to look things up. They pay me to judge — to see around corners they can't see, to weigh risks they can't quantify, to make calls in ambiguous situations.

AI won't replace that. But it will expose the professionals who were never really providing that to begin with.

The future belongs to people who can direct AI, not just use it.

What's the highest-judgment call in your work? I'm curious.
